O.K. So here's what happened. When we lived in Canada the culture there pretty much surrounds drinking coffee. So we had gotten into the habit of drinking a cup at least once if not three times a day. Then after we left Canada we drank a cup almost every morning (for some of you this is nothing...). Well, when we were living in Indonesia we never really got into a coffee routine and would just have some in the morning now and then. Then when Ruth got pregnant we just kinda stopped drinking all together except for when I would visit my buddy Nate's house (in Indo) and we would pretty much ALWAYS have a cup of Java (w/ cinnamon - so0000 good) but I would do this thing.... 'Forget to drink water....' Any of you do that?
Now lately I've decided that my Bible reading (staying in tuned with God's Word) hasn't been so hot so now I'm getting up at 5:00 (more like 6 these days...) and reading for an hr. I'm loving it! But man do I get tired!!! :) So of course today I brewed up (French pressed) some coffee I had gotten from Papua and had a cup at breakfast. But then what did I do? I NEVER DRANK ANY WATER! I'm so stupid! Then as I sat at the computer to prepare for my message at church this week I got thirsty. So I went and got a glass of water, right? NO. I decide it would be a good time to drink/sip my last 'Pepsi' while at the computer. But then I started to feel kinda sick/weird. So then I went for a walk. After I got home from my walk I started to get the biggest pounding headache to ever come over me. I couldn't do another but lay in bed.... :( I sat up just long enough to drink some water (finally!) and then just laid in bed hoping it would get better soon. But it didn't! It just kept getting worse! So I decided to take some Tylenol and after a 1/2 hr or so I started to feel a bit better. Still not great I stayed in bed and took a nap and thankfully after I woke up I was about 90% better and able to continue on functioning.
Does this ever happen to you?
Thanks for reading about my idiotic behaviors. And yes, I never got to finish my 'last' Pepsi. I'm a bit bummed....
