Moving Forward

A lot has happen in this past month, and there have been so many of you that have written us and are praying for us as well. So we knew it was about time for an update.

I (Ruth) flew back to the U.S.A. on Oct. 6th to visit with my sister, Joanna. Travel all went very smoothly. Thank you all for your prayers. It was a very special gift for me to be with my family back in New Hampshire. All of my sister’s were able to be together for about a week. We praise the Lord that this was able to happen and that He moved people to make it possible.

I was able to stay and help my family wherever I was needed. I was very thankful for that opportunity. I flew back to Indonesia on the 28th of Oct. It was a long uneventful flight, praise the Lord. It was so wonderful to see Ben and the girls again after being gone a little over three weeks of separation. It’s amazing how much two little girls can change in just three weeks. It really makes you cherish the time that you have right now at the stage of life we are in right now. Knowing that we won’t get to experience it again.

Ben and the girls did great without Mommy around. Thank you very much to everyone who had them over and helped out where you could.

Right now Ben and I are hitting the ground running with language school and culture study. Ben is back in classes in the morning. I am still in the afternoon classes, so one of us is always with the girls. We are having a tutor come 4 days a week to help with speaking and home work from school. We also have the opportunity to attend an Indonesian bible study here in Salatiga. Something we praise the Lord for as well. Life is definitely busy.

Please be praying that we will be able to balance our schedule the way the Lord would have us. That we would be able to continue to learn Indonesian with the help of the Lord. Also that we would be able to continue to build relationships with our neighbors and that they might see the Lords love through our lives.
