Salatiga - Home Sweet Home :)

So sorry we've haven't been emailing or keeping up with our blog this last week or so. Let me try to recap with you on thats been going on a bit. We flew out of Sulawesi on Friday night. Chloe had a high fever & Gwen had puked about 5 times the hour before we had even arrived at the air port. Things were looking pretty DISMAL all around! While we were waiting for our plane I was able to check for an internet signal and they had one, but it was a pay one. But! For SOME reason it only let me check my G-mail email account without paying.... So as my computer battery was dying we was able to shoot out a quick email to a few people about our PRAYER NEEDS and God miraculously answered! Almost instantly after sending the email the girls seems to get better! Gwen didn't puke even once and Chloe's fever started to go down. Praise the Lord!!! :)

We ended up getting into Salatiga (our home town!) at about 12 midnight (not fun with 2 little girls...) and went DIRECTLY to our new beds! Our house for us to stay in while we're hear studying the Indonesian language is really nice (We'll show pictures soon...) and we like it a lot. It has a pretty nice back yard with soft grass for the girls to play which was a big answer to prayer in that most homes here don't have any yard at all!

The hard thing about this last week has been Ruth & I got pretty sick just about right after we got here. It seemed the girls were getting better and better and we were getting worse and worse. Ruth started feeling pretty sick and her stomach was really upset. I had a bad headache and then had a fever off and on for a few days. When we weren't feeling sick we felt like a struck had hit us and we we're recovering... The other other things that's been hard this week is this week is our 'set aside' week to go shopping in town to 'set up' our new house. So depending on if one of us was feeling a bit better the other one would stay home with the girls while the other would head off into town and try to buy a few things for our home....

So yes! It's been an eventfully week for us. Again, so sorry for not keeping up better. Our house didn't have internet ready for us when we moved in. So we had to call a company and wait a few days to have them hook it up for us. But it's not very good right now (really slow...) and kinda just works off and on. They are coming by tomorrow or the next day to try and fix it...

Well, I REALLY should be going! It's 12:48am for me here. I should go to bed but I REALLY wanted to write everyone an 'update' and let you know that we're all starting to feel a lot better and really hanging in here. Thanks for all your prayers & support for us over here on the other side of the world! We'll try and start replying those 75 plus emails real soon....

Fellow servants of the church,
Ben for Ruth, Chloe & Gwen

So excited for you guys! Glad the girls are feeling better and we hope that it doesn't take too long for everyone to start adjusting. :) Can't wait until it's our time to start settling in overseas! So glad to get an update!
